The conference will be presented by journalist Monica Maggioni. Entitled “Sustaining investment in Italian ceramic production”, the conference will examine the challenges facing a sector with a turnover of more than €7.5 billion, a contribution of €5 billion to Italy’s trade surplus and around 40,000 direct and indirect employees. In addition to a highly skilled workforce, investment has always been a decisive factor in the global success of the Italian ceramic industry, one of the foremost examples of Italian manufacturing excellence worldwide. Today, however, the sector faces an uncertain future due to the difficult international economic climate and structural challenges such as high energy costs and the additional burden of the European ETS system. To address these issues, system-wide responses are required at both a European and a global level. The conference will follow the Cersaie 2025 ribbon-cutting ceremony, to be held 10.45 a.m. in The Square in the Services Centre. The 42nd International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings will host 620 exhibitors from 29 countries in a 155,000-square-metre exhibition space. Visitor registration for the event
