L’industria ceramica italiana protagonista a MIPIM 2026, il principale evento internazionale dedicato al real estate, in corso fino al 13 marzo al Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes.

The Italian ceramic industry is taking part from 9 to 13 March in MIPIM 2026 (Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier), the world’s leading event for the real estate sector. Held annually at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, the event brings together more than 20,000 international decision-makers, investors and developers to discuss trends, share innovations and build strategic networking opportunities in the property industry.

Ceramics of Italy, together with ANCE Emilia-Romagna and Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, as well as the region’s provincial capital municipalities, is part of a collective area coordinated by the Emilia-Romagna Region (Department for Economic Development and Green Economy, Labour, Training and International Relations) within the Italian Pavilion, which also hosts ICE – the Italian Trade Agency, national agencies and several other leading Italian regions.
The stand, featuring a 30-square-metre exhibition space dedicated to presentations and meetings, showcases to investors from around the world the investment opportunities and territorial development projects promoted by the region, along with the services and products offered by the regional economic system.

The opening conference was delivered by Philippe Aghion, one of the most influential economists of our time and professor at the Collège de France, INSEAD and the London School of Economics. Together with Peter Howitt, he developed a groundbreaking theory demonstrating that economies grow when new innovations replace obsolete ones, a process known as creative destruction. In October 2025, Aghion and Howitt were awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for this pioneering work.

Since its earliest editions, MIPIM has offered participants the opportunity to align with market and sector trends, gain access to major real estate development projects and meet the most important decision-makers in the industry, including developers, investors, territories, development agencies and local authorities, investment funds, construction companies and service providers.
