Ceramics of Italy

Ceramics of Italy  is the institutional trademark used for all promotional events relevant to the Italian ceramic industry, both in Italy and worldwide. It can be licensed for use by ceramic companies in accordance with a specific authorisation process.

In 1972, the Ceramiche Italiane trademark was created to promote Italian ceramic tiles in Italy and abroad, ahead of its time in the Italian Made in Italy industry.
The trademark has evolved over time, responding to increasingly international demands. From the registration of Ceramiche italiane, it changed to Ceramic Tiles of Italy and finally, in 2011, to Ceramics of Italy, to represent the following Italian ceramic industry sectors: tiles, sanitary ceramics, and tableware.

By indicating the geographical origin of the product, the trademark embodies the values and qualities recognized worldwide in the Made in Italy ceramic industry: quality, transparency, leadership in design, product and process innovation, and environmental and social sustainability.

The companies associated with Confindustria Ceramica that are licensees of the Ceramics of Italy trademark sign a specific set of rules governing the use of the trademark.

The Ceramics of Italy trademark is the benchmark for the Association's promotional activities, both nationally and internationally, and may only be used in relation to ceramic products Made in Italy.
