Activities Activities Energy: eliminating the differential between PSV and the Dutch TTF Confindustria Ceramica considers the energy issue to be an absolute priority for the competitiveness and sustainability of the sector. The Association is engaged in ongoing dialogue with the institutions to promote concrete measures capable of structurally reducing energy costs for Italian companies, while ensuring stability and fair access to supplies. In particular, we are working to ensure that the Government adopts measures aimed at aligning gas prices with European levels. The provision to eliminate the gas price differential between the Italian PSV and the Dutch TTF — already included in certain amendments to the previous Energy Decree but not approved during its conversion into law — responds to the need to correct a distortion that has become increasingly unjustifiable, given that today only 10% of the gas consumed in Italy is sourced from Central Europe. Well-designed market instruments, such as mechanisms to enhance liquidity and transparency on the PSV, can help contain volatility and strengthen security of supply, without creating imbalances or additional burdens. Any intervention in the energy sector must be guided by principles of efficiency, competition and neutrality, avoiding solutions that favour specific interests at the expense of manufacturing companies.
