The Polytechnic Network is the training provision planned by the Regions to equip young people and adults with the technical and scientific skills that businesses require. It includes two-year programmes offered by Higher Technical Institutes (ITS Foundations), one-year Higher Technical Education and Training (IFTS) courses, and shorter programmes aimed at obtaining highly specialised professional qualifications (FS).
The Regions fund these programmes through national resources and the European Social Fund Plus.
Confindustria Ceramica works in close cooperation with the ITS Foundations of the Emilia-Romagna Region to respond effectively to the shortage of technical professionals.
