Quantifying environmental performance is essential for accurately communicating the efforts made by companies in terms of environmental sustainability.

In this context, the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an extremely important tool for construction products. It provides information on a product’s environmental performance throughout its entire life cycle, helping stakeholders to make informed and conscious decisions.

The Association supports its member companies in enhancing the environmental credentials of their construction products through:

• the sectoral EPD, which all member companies can use to communicate the average environmental performance of their products;
• the EPD Tool, a software solution that member companies producing ceramic tiles can purchase in order to independently develop their own product EPDs, with significant advantages in terms of cost and time, thereby strengthening their market positioning.
