Today, the Ceramics of Italy Design & Sustainability event is taking place at the MAK in Vienna, with the aim of fostering networking opportunities between Italian ceramic tile manufacturers and German design professionals. The event brings together 25 ceramic companies, each showcasing product samples and informative materials in a dedicated exhibition area.

L’industria ceramica italiana nel 2025 fattura 7,5 miliardi di euro con 242 imprese e oltre 25.500 addetti diretti. Per le piastrelle e lastre di ceramica vendite a 386,9 milioni di metri quadrati (+2,3%); fatturato a 6,0 miliardi di euro (-0,4%) e quota export all’82%. La marginalità del settore risente degli aumenti nel costo dell’energia e degli ETS condizionando gli investimenti, in calo del 16% a 321 milioni di euro.
Confindustria Ceramica e Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl, Uiltec Uil hanno condiviso una posizione comune su uno dei temi più urgenti per il futuro del settore ceramico italiano ed europeo: i nuovi parametri di riferimento (benchmark) proposti dalla Commissione europea nell'ambito del sistema ETS per il periodo 2026–2030, rischiano di infliggere danni alle imprese e di mettere a rischio migliaia di posti di lavoro.
